Bike Check: David Cachon’s Patrol 691 Evo

David Cachon shows off his custom built Patrol 691 Evo in this detailed bike check video.

This year I will have the opportunity to use bikes that are very different from each other since the adventures I have planned have little to do with each other. The first of the bikes that I show you is my Enduro bike (691), it will be followed by a very special carbon hardtail as its trail geometry makes it one of the most fun all-purpose bikes I have ever owned (C091). Of course the electric model of Patrol (E-Six) I don’t know what I would do today without a good electric bike. They are also waiting to be presented my Street /Trial bike (O-Six) and a new addition, a gravel bike that you will have news very soon.

Switching to tubeless tires offers benefits like reduced puncture risk due to internal sealant, lower rolling resistance for a smoother ride, and enhanced traction from running lower pressures without pinch flats. The process involves using tubeless-ready components and following steps to remove existing tires, apply rim tape, and install valves and tires, then adding sealant and inflating. Setting proper sag is vital for a Patrol Mountain bike’s performance. A shock pump, tape measure, and assistant are needed for measuring the suspension compression under the rider’s weight.
