Tell us about any special features or parts on your custom-built Patrol E-Five.

The truth is that the bike is totally customized with the parts of my sponsors, I use an SR Suntour Durolux 36 fork with 150mm travel, and Vittoria Mazza 2.6″ tires in its Enduro version. Shimano XT 4-piston brakes, PRO Koryak carbon handlebar, Shimano PD-GR400 resin pedals.

Anything interesting or novel, for example, do you have very narrow/wide bars? Hard suspension? Etc.

I usually use almost all the standard parts but there are always some personal preferences that lead you to modify some. the koryak handlebar is originally 800mm but i like to cut it slightly to 750mm. There is something that cannot be seen with the naked eye but since I discovered it I cannot live without it, it is the Vittoria Airliner, since I have ridden them I have never flat again.

Could you share some details about your suspension settings and tire preferences?

Below I detail some of the settings of my bike. I usually use a pressure of 1.5 bar both in the rear and in the front wheel, from there depending on the terrain and style of layout I modify it slightly. For the suspensions I always go hard, the air pressure that I carry is always like for a person weighing more than 15 kg than me. The rebound is usually in the middle, although I always shoot slow and the high and low compression always take them to 2 on a scale of 5.

How would you best describe your riding style?

My riding style is a mix of technical riding, trial, a bit of BMX and of course a 100% Enduro approach.

A Comprehensive Guide to Converting Your Patrol Mountain Bike to Tubeless Bliss

Switching to tubeless tires offers benefits like reduced puncture risk due to internal sealant, lower rolling resistance for a smoother ride, and enhanced traction from running lower pressures without pinch flats. The process involves using tubeless-ready components and following steps to remove existing tires, apply rim tape, and install valves and tires, then adding sealant and inflating. Tubeless conversion results in a lighter, more agile, and responsive ride.

Nailing Sag: A Guide to Setting Up Your Full Suspension Patrol Mountain Bike

Setting proper sag is vital for a Patrol Mountain bike’s performance. A shock pump, tape measure, and assistant are needed for measuring the suspension compression under the rider’s weight. Optimal sag should be between 25-30% for the rear shock and 15-20% for the front fork. Adjusting the air pressure fine-tunes the ride, with regular checks advised for maintaining the ideal setting.
